The Winter Varsity Sports Season is heating up in Oyster Bay.  Many fine young athletes have excelled this season and were chosen by the Oyster Bay High School coaches as Athletes of the Month for January, 2017.

When asked about his choice, Girls’ Varsity Basketball Coach Sandy Rossen had this to say, “Gianna Gotti is our Athlete of the Month.  Gianna ended the month December with a scoring average of 31.0 points per game, making her the leading scorer on Long Island.  Gianna was also named to the All-Tournament teams for The Lady Baymen Tournament, as well as the Freeport Lady Red Devil Tournament.  She also spearheaded our annual toy drive to help benefit The Gardiner Foundation, an organization in the Bronx that helps children in need.”
