Scott Knapp teaches Algebra 2, Algebra 2 Honors, and AP Calculus BC at Oyster Bay High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Binghamton University and his Master’s of Science Degree in Adolescent Education in Mathematics from CW Post.
Scott Knapp originally was a student teacher at Oyster Bay High School while he was finishing his Master's Degree. During his teaching career, which has been entirely at Oyster Bay High School, he has taught mainly high school classes, including Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. Scott is currently the advisor for the National Honor Society. Mr. Knapp tries to bring a real-world approach to all the different math courses he teaches, in the hopes that his students can actually answer the question, "When are we ever going to use this?" themselves.
