The 2016-17 School Budget has the Lowest Budget to Budget Increase in the Last 17 Years
The Oyster Bay East Norwich Board of Education held its monthly Work Session on Tuesday, May 5 at 7 pm in the OBHS Library.
The Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics, Mr. Kevin Trentowski updated the Board on Physical Education and Health in our schools.
The Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, Mr. Stephen Valente presented a review of the adopted Budget for 2016-2017. The good news is that the estimated tax levy increase is 0.15% which is the lowest budget to budget increase in the past 17 years. The Budget Vote and Trustee Elections will be held on Tuesday, May 17 in the Oyster Bay High School Library from 7 am to 9 pm.
The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at 7 pm in the OBHS Library. The meeting will serve as a hearing for the SMART Schools. All are welcome.
