Mrs. DiMaggio teaches Advanced Placement Language and Composition, College Essay Writing, English 10, and Creative Writing classes. She earned a BA in English and an MA in Education from Stony Brook University, and she has been a teacher of English for over twenty-eight years at Oyster Bay High School. During the course of her career, she has been involved in many of our school’s programs. From Class Advisor, to Honor Society and Yearbook advisor, to Varsity Track and Field coach, and Cheerleading coach, she has been an enthusiastic member of our student body and community. Mrs. DiMaggio maintains a congenial classroom environment where she engages her scholars in higher order thinking and questioning. She reinforces the importance of the writing process (outlining, drafting editing, rewriting) in order to help students refine their skills. She aspires to foster a love of reading and writing in her students as they prepare for their future academic pursuits and careers.
