Adopted Goals

GOAL: The Board of Education will help to improve

student achievement

Objectives:

1. Utilize one meeting per month to become knowledgeable about the varied aspects of instruction, assessment and curriculum

2. Recognize faculty and student accomplishments at public BOE meetings

3. Attend workshops and conferences that help educate BOE members

GOAL: The Board of Education will develop a budget that can
be supported by the entire community

Objectives:

1. Work closely with the administration to create a fiscally-sound budget

2. Improve the manner in which information about the budget is shared with the community

3. Maintain a focused approach to a fair and reasonable budget

GOAL: The Board of Education will investigate long-term
facility improvements

Objectives:

1. Create a Facilities Committee

2. Utilize the input of the committee to make an informed decision about facility needs

3. Based on that decision, create a long-term fiscal plan for supporting the recommendations

4. If a bond is warranted, the BOE will work diligently to garner community support for successfully passing the bond

GOAL: The Board of Education will improve community
relations

Objectives:

1. Initiate focus groups for discussion purposes

2. Utilize a web-based survey to gather insight from community members

3. Develop a key communicators network

4. Support a better developed website
