Vision Statement:
The goal of the ELA/Library Media Department is to develop all students into
readers and writers who pursue these activities aesthetically and for such
utilitarian purposes as research. We also hope that students will develop into
excellent speakers who truly listen to others. Based on the demands of the 21st
century, we expect pupils to develop into proficient test-takers who will be
able to achieve mastery on all required tasks. However, in essence, the ultimate
objective of the curriculum followed from K to 12 in the ELA/Library Media
Department is to prepare students for their post-high school lives, whether they
attend college or enter a career directly after graduation.
