Oyster Bay High School celebrated its homecoming on Friday, September 20, with a lively pep rally in the OBHS gym, filled with school spirit, athletic pride, and friendly competition. The event began with a powerful rendition of the national anthem performed by the OBHS chamber singers, setting the tone for an exciting afternoon.

Student Council President Henry Briggs and Vice President Alexa Laurencon served as the enthusiastic emcees, guiding the audience through the event's highlights. Following the national anthem, the varsity cheer squad energized the crowd with a dynamic performance that had everyone on their feet.

A centerpiece of the pep rally was the much-anticipated annual lip sync contest, where each class showcased their creativity and school pride. This year's theme was seasons, and the students did not disappoint:

* The freshman class kicked things off with a girl power and spring showers-themed performance.
* The sophomores brought a spooky twist to fall, with a Halloween-themed routine.
* The juniors took the audience to the beach with a fun, ocean-inspired summer performance.
* The seniors closed out the contest with a winter wonderland, complete with a Christmas-inspired take.

After all the performances, it was the seniors who claimed victory, continuing their tradition of excellence in the lip sync contest.

The pep rally also honored the school's athletes, with introductions of all junior varsity and middle level sports teams. Then, the spotlight shifted to the varsity athletes, with teams from soccer, volleyball, tennis, crew, sailing, and football receiving recognition. The grand finale was the presentation of the varsity football team, setting the stage for the homecoming game.

The event concluded with the introduction of this year’s homecoming court, featuring Gwenyth Davey, Daniel Hernandez, Rose Lindstrom, Connor Walsh and Nicole Walsh.

Oyster Bay's pep rally was an energetic celebration of student talent, athleticism, and school unity, leaving everyone ready to cheer on the varsity football team during homecoming weekend.

Special thanks to Athletic Director Shannon McEntee for organizing the event and ensuring the success of the day’s activities!
