ASL III Students Design Imaginative Creatures in Animal Kingdom Project

Dr. Sisia's ASL III students recently completed an engaging project that combined creativity, research and American Sign Language skills by designing their own unique animals.
Students developed comprehensive profiles for their original creatures, detailing physical characteristics, behaviors, natural habitats, dietary preferences and lifespans. The project also challenged them to think critically about ecological relationships by identifying which animals would be allies and which would be rivals in their creature's environment.
The colorful ASL presentations showcased both the students' imaginative designs and their dedication to the assignment. Through this hands-on learning experience, students demonstrated their growing ASL proficiency while exploring concepts in biology and creative thinking.
