District Orchestras to Perform Alongside Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Mark Wood

Students in grades 5 through 12 across the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District are gearing up for a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience this spring.
As part of the nationally recognized “Electrify Your Symphony” program, orchestra students in grades 5 through 12 will work directly with Mark Wood – Juilliard-trained virtuoso, Emmy-winning composer, and founding member of the multi-platinum Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Known as the Les Paul of the Violin World, Mark is widely considered a pioneer of the electric violin, and he'll be bringing that energy straight to our students.
The experience goes well beyond a typical performance. Students will participate in an intensive, real-world workshop led by Mark and his team of Artist Mentors before taking the stage together for a live concert – performing side-by-side with the musicians who inspired them.
The concert is open to the public and tickets are free. All you need to do is reserve your seat in advance using the link below.
When: Thursday, May 29, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. Where: Oyster Bay Middle-High School Auditorium
Reserve your free tickets: Click here to register.
Don't miss the chance to watch our district's young musicians share the stage with one of rock and classical music's most electrifying performers.
