Vernon Games Bring School Spirit to James H. Vernon School

June 16 marked one of the year’s most anticipated days at James H. Vernon School in Oyster Bay — the annual Vernon Games.
The all-day event divides the student body into four color-coded teams, each made up of students from every grade level. Dressed in red, blue, green or yellow T-shirts, many students took their team spirit further with wigs, face paint and other accessories as they competed in athletic events, dance-offs and a poster competition.
Points were tallied throughout the day as the friendly rivalry among the four teams grew. At the close of the event, the blue team was announced as this year's champion.
Thank you to the Vernon staff and PTA for coordinating another memorable day of school spirit.
